This NVG Mounting System is unique that it provides two modes of operation. The G24 has the famous breakaway feature that provides the wearer the protection from neck or head injury.
The first mode allows the mount to "break away" from the base under a stressed condition such as getting snagged during fast roping or hitting a hard object when entering or exiting a vehicle or building. With this breakaway feature serious neck injuries and equipment damage can be minimized or avoided. The second mode allows the Universal NVG Mount to securely lock the mount to the base.
An ergonomically placed Flip Release Button allows the Mount to "fip up" to a stowed position when the goggle is attached. This pivot mechanism is simple and robust by design and cannot loosen over time. A Tilt Adjustment Knob allows the operator to fine adjust the tilt angle of the NVG. A Fore/Aft Release Lever allows for fore/aft travel of the goggle. Releasing the lever allows the operator to set the fore/aft position of the goggle.

NVG Mount KVC Universal Bridge RQE Dual Monocular Night Vision Goggles Stent With l4g24 for PVS-14 MUM DVO MINI-NSEAS Mount. The Universal Bridge is designed to support multi-mission applications, allowing for quick-disconnect of mounted components and providing mix-and-match capabilities for PVS-14, MUM, DVO, MINI-NSEAS without carrying a diverse set of mounts. The RQE Universal Bridge is a lightweight, highly adaptive interface component for use with a variety of image intensified, DVO, digital, or thermal systems. It is compatible/adaptive to a wide range of legacy electro-optics via common shoe-type or adapter.
The K-Clip has replaced the M-Clip for all configurations using a MUM-style rail, including the FLIR PTQ136 Breach. The KVC Universal Bridge allows users to pair up a large variety of night vision and thermal monocular systems using RQE mounting accessories.
The following accessories are required to attach monoculars to the KVC Universal Bridge. The KVC Obverse Shoe Set (OSS) is intended for applications requiring PVS-14 (and various derivative modules) to be paired or oriented for a variety of applications. The OSS maximizes use of virtually any standard BNVD dovetail as a host receiver. The top shoe clamps around the PVS-14's objective lens locking ring. To install, position the clamp screw so it is accessible with the wrench between the battery cap and gain control knob (we find it easiest to unscrew the battery cap prior to installation). The bottom shoe simply threads into the 1/4-20' insert in the PVS-14 body.
Each interface can be installed on separate PVS14's, allowing them to pair with the KVC Universal Bridge. They can also be installed on a single PVS-14, allowing the monocular to move from the KVC JAMR to the KVC PWM-S for head or weapon mount. OSS shoes will lock into standard female dovetail interfaces from a multitude of helmet mount manufacturers. The helmet mount attachment dovetail shoe features KVC's Tolerance Tooth.
KVC's Tolerance Tooth allows precise adjustment to compensate for tolerance stack. Even if your Universal Bridge locks up perfectly with the host mount, parts wear will occur from constant mounting reps. Adjusting the Tolerance Tooth will ensure a snug fit throughout the life of the device. OSS Shoes will readily convert your PVS-14 for mounting to an KVC Universal Bridge, JAMR, or similar dovetail-based mount.
For monocular use, you will need an offset adapter like the KVC JAMR.
