The right lens works fine but the left lens has shading. This is most likely due to the night vision crystal which would need repaired or replaced according to my understanding from looking at the manual.    This item is used in excellent working condition. The eyecup is a little smashed from sitting inside pouch but can easily be replaced. There is no scratches to the lens. The only thing I did not like about this device is that the built in IR light does not have a constant on function. You have to keep your finger pressed down on it for it to stay on.
