This is a rare set-up of an HGU-55/P Gentex, Fixed Wing Aircraft, Fighter Pilot set-up. This HGU-55/P, comes with the MBU-12/P, working oxygen mask, but also has the boom microphone (mike).
The boom mike is used for non-combat flights below 10000 feet, and the oxygen mask (with integrated microphone), is used above 10000 feet and/or all combat flights. This helmet has the nape pad, leather edge rolls, padded ear cups, and straps accounted for and in 100% working order.
