This is and upgrades version. The lens has been changed giving it a much larger field of view, the IR light is shielded and almost not visible to the naked eye and the was a threaded port added for use with included skull crusher style head piece for hands free use or to mount on a tripod. The latency is good enough for basic navigation. This is a step above the NVG 10 in my opinion and is a great entry level device. It's rugged and very lightweight.
